At Woodie’s Flat, we take our wings (and your emotions) seriously—which is why we launched our Sauce of the Month series a long time ago… and now you can actually know about it cause it’s on this handy event calendar.
Our rotating lineup of handcrafted, flavor-loaded sauces are made in-house by our irrefutably talented culinary team led by VP of Culinary Nahuel Rodriguez, and our kitchen masterminds Elvis and Blanca. Every month, we feature a new limited-run sauce that you can try when you dine in with us—because we toss it fresh to order. Takeout and delivery? You’ll still get the sauce, but it comes on the side. We trust you to sauce responsibly–try not to screw it up.
This month we’re rolling with a Huli Huli theme to coax the warm summer weather out in Chicago, and you can get it now through the end of June. It’ll taste like pineapple, ginger, garlic, and a few other secret ingredients we’re not gonna tell ya!

June’s sauce is Huli Huli
Close your eyes. You’re at a backyard cookout somewhere on the North Shore of Oahu, someone’s got a whole chicken spinning over a fire, and the smell alone is enough to make you forget you have a job. Enter: Huli Huli. Woodie’s June Sauce of the Month is a Hawaiian-style sweet heat glaze packed with everything that makes huli huli sauce the kind of thing people have strong opinions about. Pineapple sweetness, ginger, a little soy, a little heat, all of it hitting at once in a way that’s somehow both familiar and completely new.
